My Baby Spa is recruiting for a part time Baby & Toddler Spa Leader, for 15 hours over 3 days a week 10:45am-2:45pm. As a Spa Leader, you will start off by running 6 baby & toddler spa sessions a week, Tuesdays in Coventry, Wednesdays in Leicester and Fridays in Nottingham. Therefore, you will need to drive, enjoy travelling and have a car big enough to transport the spa equipment. This is truly a unique position as you’ll be running a baby spa designed for 0-12 month old babies and a toddler spa designed for 1-4 year olds, so definitely not your usual 9-5 kind of job. You’ll need to have an outgoing, bubbly and social personality and experience working with young children as you’ll be interacting with parents and their babies; making sure they have the best, most memorable experience (customer service and group leading skills are key). You will be running these sessions alone so will need proof of an excellent track record of attendance with references to prove it. You will also need to be physically ok with carrying equipment and bending down to set up and pack away the spa daily. You will get £100 monthly bonus when there has been a months worth of full classes.

This position will start off on a Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday and you must be at each venue from 10:45am – 2:45pm, which includes setting up and packing away time which can be quite physical (including thoroughly cleaning equipment). Must also be flexible and cover extra sessions and other areas when needed. You will be running the baby spa alone so must be confident in working independently and have an excellent work attendance record. You’ll also need a DBS check and be willing to work towards getting qualifications such as baby massage. Between sessions, you’ll need to wash and dry the baby gowns and other items ready for the next session. You will also need to promote the sessions by attending events, giving out flyers and posting on social media. We hold special events so working hours may change for such events, but you will be told in advance and you’ll also doing birthday parties so occasional weekend work will be required and is non-negotiable.

As this will be your ‘baby’, you’ll need to give a months notice for holidays so we can plan the schedule accordingly and no paid holiday to be taken during the first 3 months of the probationary period.

Day to day activities of this position include travel to the venue, setting up the baby and toddler spa, running 2 sessions a day with a break in between to clean the equipment and then pack up at the end of the working day (we will be increasing sessions once established in new areas so must be willing to do overtime). During the actual session, you’ll welcome the parents and babies/toddlers and make sure they are comfortable, fill up the baby jacuzzis, guide parents on how to do a bonding massage, take very good pictures for social media if parents have given permission and upsell products. 1 hour will be working from home where you’ll also need to promote the sessions online and in person and also wash and dry baby towels & gowns.

We are looking for someone long term with future possibility for growth within the company so must commit to a MINIMUM of 1 year. Loyalty and reliability is key, I cannot stress enough how important attendance, marketing and personality is for this role.

The hours are 15 hours per week (12 hours in venue plus 3 hours work from home for cleaning/prep/marketing) at £11 p/h plus petrol allowance. This can be on a self-employed or permanent contract.
